Read on if you’re still unsure about Pilates…
EVERYBODY can benefit from Pilates, whether you are new to exercise, recovering from injury, a pro-athlete or a grandparent. Pilates is a safe way of improving joint stability, mobility, flexibility, as well as improving your overall strength. And you DO NOT need to be flexible to do Pilates - instead, Pilates will improve your flexibility!
More MEN should be doing Pilates. There is more to Pilates than just improving flexibility or getting a dancer's body or injury rehabilitation. Did you know that athletes such as LeBron James, Cristiano Ronaldo, Tiger Woods etc incorporate Pilates into their active recovery sessions? So even if you are a regular at the gym, do F45 training, Crossfit etc., we promise you will still feel challenged during the session and will leave our studio feeling stronger and walking taller. Read more on this topic in our IG post!
You are NEVER TOO OLD to do Pilates. In fact, incorporating strength training into your daily routine is even more important in older populations to delay the onset of osteopenia/osteoporosis. Pilates also enhances the mind-body connection, thus improving coordination and balance.
Pilates is also suitable for KIDS. Doing Pilates early on can help establish correct movement principles for their entire life, as well as create a balanced musculature that can alleviate pain and reduce the potential for injury as their bodies continue to grow.
Once you start doing Pilates correctly and feel the changes in your body, you will be HOOKED on it! That's how we got started on our Pilates journey.
Hence our motto: “Come for the workout, return for the transformation”
